It’s undeniably true that both a bathhouse and a pool are indivisibly associated with high mugginess, no matter what the size of the room, since in the pool the water continually flows and dissipates. Many also know that any bathhouse, be it a Finnish sauna or a Turkish hammam, can definitely be kept up with high moisture in the steam room itself. What’s more, albeit the Finnish sauna is regarded as a dry type, in the process of the steaming water is poured on the stones, and this builds the dampness in the air, yet for a brief time frame. Also, water fume passes into restrooms and even into storage spaces. If ventilation is done correctly, the moisture content of rooms near the steam room should typically be between 60 and 65 percent. The same thing occurs in a swimming pool, where humidity should not exceed 60%. However, in practice, this number is higher because it is difficult to create a microclimate in a room where the water temperature is 1-2 degrees lower than air temperature to reduce water evaporation. It is unequivocally a direct result of high dampness that a television for a shower, sauna, or pool should be dampness-safe.
An extra motive to pick a waterproof television for a sauna is the coincidental contact of such a gadget with water. Sprinkles of water in a bathhouse or sauna are unavoidable, and a normal family television isn’t reasonable for such use: arbitrary drops of water that get inside the television body can harm it.
The ideal answer for any soggy room is to introduce a television in the wall. This installation method is completed with a specially designed box, which is in the list of product packaging.
Allow us to advise you that to introduce the television in the steam room of a shower or sauna, it is important to moreover coordinate intensity expulsion from the body to try not to overheat the hardware of the TV set.
Our AVEL TVs can work in Sauna / Steam Room due to their metal and glass structure. We performed a laboratory test and heated it up to 100C (202F), the testing procedure was recorded and the TV can work stable up to 80C (176F).
Our range of built-in televisions has successfully passed moisture protection tests. AVEL televisions have been certified according to international standards.
Testing is conducted in a specialized laboratory where water is sprayed using specialized equipment. During the tests, a water flow of 10 liters per minute is applied at pressures ranging from 50 to 150 kPa from various angles. Meanwhile, the television continues to operate.
Upon completion of all procedures, we receive an international certification document confirming that our televisions meet the N60 529 standard. This indicates that the equipment has successfully passed safety class testing under external conditions, specifically according to the IPX4 standard.
During the installation of AVEL TVs in the sauna, it is recommended to provide natural ventilation, as shown in the picture. Cooling the back panel and effectively dissipating heat from the functioning TV can prolong its lifespan and guarantee consistent operation over the years. Laboratory testing confirms that the televisions can function at temperatures up to 176 degrees Fahrenheit (temporarily up to 212°F), however, like any electronic device, the main components of the television and the Smart TV board work better and longer at moderate temperatures.
